I like to conduct fun experiments here and there. Not necessarily scientific experiments, but ones that include my hobbies and allow me to enjoy some me-time and it seems like I have found someone who likes to do the same! Well, it may be all a part of his work, but John Wells had a great time working on the project shared in the video below.
John works at The Field Lab in Southwest Texas and decided to conduct an experiment which involved leaving a bucket of water out to see which types of desserts animals would come by to quench their thirst. He placed a camera at the bottom of the bucket and was pleasantly surprised by the results. Not to mention that the results are also going viral on the internet.
“I was pleasantly surprised during the edit to see that George [the rabbit] made an appearance. I know him from all the other rabbits because of the tiny notch in his ear.” He also wants his audience to note that “The swimming bees were rescued.” So all-in-all no animals/bees/insects were harmed in the making of this video!
John is already known for his stellar work in ecology. He moved from the hustle and bustle of New York to “the middle of nowhere in” to pursue a simpler life. He’s also making the best use of his time and passion for helping animals and the ecosystem.
Watch the video below and tell us what you think? If you enjoyed John’s experiment, then don’t forget to like and share it with family and friends!
