Dog Clings To Owner At The Shelter Because He Knew He Was Being Surrendered

The dog wasn’t allowed in the new home, so he had to be surrendered.

Dogs know things. We don’t give them enough credit. This poor dog just knew why he and his owner were at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in Modesto, California. He knew that his owner was planning just to leave him there. He clung to her. Nancy Klein was leaving the shelter when she happened upon the sad scene.

The dog’s owner was moving, and the dog wasn’t allowed in the new home, so he had to be surrendered. After meeting Nancy the dog, Moses, crawled into her lap hoping she would take him home – he didn’t want to stay at the shelter. Moses had already lived at the shelter; he had been adopted from one just about a year ago.
